THE SIXTH EDITION OF THE ITALIAN POKER TOUR

The sixth leg of the Italian Poker Tour started yesterday in San Remo, and will be taking place in that city until the 14th of December.

The three players that have accumulated more points during the last editions of this poker tournament are Marco Figuccia, Giovanni Salvatore and Mattew Perrins. However it is still too early to talk about a clear favorite as we will not know who will be the champion of this poker tournament until April 2010.

During this leg there will be two special events only for Italian players that can win a fantastic Lamborghini. The 11th of December it will take place the first one “Italian Dream” and during the 12th and 13th the second one “All Stars of Poker”.

THE FIFHT EDITION OF THE ITALIAN POKER TOUR

Giovanni Salvatore become the winner of the fifth edition if the Italian poker tour in San Remo yesterday, bringing home a fantastic prize of €150.000.
From the 325 players that started the tournament, only one international player managed to arrive to the final table. The French Christian Deber was surrounded by Italians in the final table. Giovanni Salvatore play the final heads up against Umberto Pavoncello, which is this occasion had to be content with the second position.
The high level of participation in this poker tournament seems to indicate that poker is becoming one of the favourite pastimes in that country and that is probably due to the development and expansion of the online poker rooms.
